Syryn walked slowly through the trees, stalking a deer. Her fine leather boots barely made a sound as she moved gracefully through the forest. An arrow was loaded in her beautiful wooden bow, ready for when she caught up to the deer.
She was an expert huntress, it seemed to be in her blood, the way she moved so fluidly through the forest, and her ease with the bow.She couldn't know how she was so good at it of course, she could remember nothing of her past.
In some ways it was strange, but everything about this place she had been living for three years seemed like home. There was nothing else for her, just this forest. She had no memory of any other place.
Now of course, she had to focus on the task at hand. She shifted her dark brown cloak, and continued on.

Amariel stood at the edge of a stream filling her leather canteen full of fresh spring water. She had been tracking a small heard of does through the forest for about an hour. She was aiming for the biggest, she would end up making a new leather suit and Mohican's. She looked around feeling the presence of something or someone near her. She popped the cork back into her canteen and slowly slung it around her shoulder. She seen the movement of the deer as they looked toward her. She just looked back, not moving hoping they wouldn't run off. The deer dated in the other direction sensing the same feeling of someone elses presence.
Amariel turned her head to see another girl holding her bow ready to fire. Amariel, knelled and picked her long bow up from the ground. She didn't think that the girl had seen her, but she may have. Amariel gave another look toward where the deer stood. She frowned when she seen that they had disappeared in the forest ... that ment more tracking, and no more peaces an quiet. Though the territory didn't belong to just one person it was often shared and food tended to run off all the time because of it.

Bowen sat down in the seat he would consider one of the best around. His legs hung loosely as they dangled from such a high perch that he had chosen as suitable. Where he sat was upon a large branch in one of the taller trees, although he sat on a lower branch. One may have found it a tad bit odd of him to be doing so but in his mind it was the perfect seat to watch the play unravel. Only a few moments earlier had his sensitive hearing picked up the light sounds of movement from not too far of a distance. He had already been climbing trees out of sheer boredom as his working shift had ended and the colony was no longer in need of his services at this particular time. He had heard the soft footsteps of woodland creatures and had followed his natural curiosity. Leaping from tree to tree had been no hassle at all considering his great acrobatics abilities. After a few leaps and bounds he had made it to his target which appeared to be a couple of doe and from the looks of it two other humanoid beings. With a quizzical expression working its way over his face he studied them a bit from the safety of his perch. 'Those beings are elves, like me...' he thought to himself before tilting his head curiously to the side in an innocent manner. 'No, not like me.' His decision was final. They were like him yet not like him. He watched the two carefully, observing how they moved and acted. One seemed persistent on hunting while the other may have been doing the same but appeared a bit... distracted, for lack of a better word. He stifled a yawn as the short scene played out and the deer took off at a run. Lifting his right arm up towards the trunk he managed to pull himself onto his feet, standing confidently on the sturdy branch. "How could you let them escape?" he bellowed, a mischievous grin crossing over his face as he made his whereabouts obvious. Wood elves were a common sight within the Deystem, so he had nothing to worry about, right? ( Hope you don't mind if I join. Valitrix said I could. )

Soon Syryn came upon another woman who was hunting, well at least she had a bow and arrows, really she was filling a canteen with water. Either way, one of them scared the deer and they darted away. Now Syryn would have to go after them again. She was about to accuse the other woman of scaring them off, when she heard a bellowing voice from behind her. "How could you let them escape?" It said.
She quickly spun around, but didn't see anyone. She quickly glanced around and soon saw a male being standing in a nearby tree. She glared at him. "No thanks to you, your bellowing just scared them off!" She shouted at him, pointing to where the deer had been mere moments ago. As soon as he had opened his big mouth, they had scattered. Now she was really upset.

Amariel looked up as the other girl yelled at the man who was standing in a nearby tree, obviously watching. "Maybe, it's good to let them escape sometimes ... it's not like there's plenty of other animals out here. I'll surely catch up to the sooner or later." Amariel stated then glanced back at the other girl. "There not really going anywhere, you'll be able to track them down again." Amariel took a sip from her canteen, the cool spring water tasted wonderful. It was only morning time, the deer were sure to come crossing back through a little later today. Also, the forest has so many other things to offer other then deer.
Amariel looked over at the girl. "So what's your name?" then she glanced up to the tree. "and your's?"
